This book has become on of my son’s most favorite books to read in the evenings before bed.
My youngest daughter loves to have me read it to her, if only to sit and stare at the pictures of the animals.
Dan Jackson has created a wonderful book. He has included some of the most vivid and high quality photos
of animals, designed with children in mind. It encourages them to consider what a tail is used for, why certain animals
have a tail and the KIND of tail that they have.. and have also made them ask why HUMANS don’t have tails.
Now, THAT one is a fun one to explain to children.. because what WOULD BE the purpose of a human
having a tail.
Yes, that is one of the many questions that my son has asked, and for this reason alone, I highly recommend
this book to those who homeschool younger children. It DOES inspire creativity. It DOES inspire them to
research the kinds of tails that animals have, and what those tails are used for. It creates meaningful and
in-depth conversations that lead to a memorable learning experience.
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
