Leo SuperHero is a fantastic children’s book, written so that even my struggling 7 year old can read with very little
assistance. It is an engaging story about a little boy who wants to be a Super Hero. His mom made him a complete little
super hero outfit, and when he puts it on, he can imagine that he really IS a super hero. In this story, being a super hero,
for Leo, doesn’t mean that he can leap tall buildings in a single bound, or shoot spider webs from his wrists. For Leo, being
a super hero means that he can be the best boy he can be. In the story, while in super hero costume, he does a good deed
with the help of his beloved cat Milkshake. He helps a little mouse to find his family.
I love the theme of this story and how the authors don’t tell the story as if the children who will be reading it are babies. The
story is told so that even older children can read it and engage with it. Very well written story and this will be a cherished
story for my children for many years to come.
