We all pack for a holiday in different ways. Some of us like to be prepared days in advance, carefully checking to make sure they don’t forget anything, while others like to throw everything in a suitcase the night before they go away on their break! Whichever group you are in, this blog has been designed to give you a helping hand with regards to one area – beauty products. Since you only have limited space in your luggage, it can be tough to know what to prioritise and what to leave behind. Well, hopefully after reading this blog, you will be in a much more comfortable position!

Hotel Essentials

To begin with, you don’t want to forget your toothbrush, toothpaste and floss so you can keep up your regular dental hygiene routine when you get there. If you have taken a flight to get to your destination, then you will find that your skin has dried out in a big way so you will need your moisturiser. Also, you should also remember to pack a good facewash to get you going in the morning and also some deodorant. Taking care of your hair is also important during a holiday as there are so many factors that can harm it including the sun, sea salt and chlorine so don’t forget your shampoo and conditioner. You may want to switch to a lighter shampoo and deeper conditioner during this time. And you may also need your straighteners or curlers as well.

At the Beach

Obviously, sun lotion comes right at the top of the list when it comes to products that you need at the beach. It is recommended that you don’t use a lotion with an SPF factor of less than 30 as this gives you the added protection that you need. It is also a good idea to take along some after sun to use when you come off the beach. Also, you may want to bring along some body lotion and body oil to give your skin that extra layer of moisture.

Makeup Essentials

During your holiday, you probably don’t want to bring along too many makeup products, but there are a few items you may want to pack. Tinted moisturizer is a great starting point and you should also pack some concealer for some instant improvement – Kryolan makeup have some good options. You may want to bring along some eyebrow products as the sun will naturally make the hairs lighter so you may need to fill in the gaps. Waterproof mascara is also another good choice so you don’t have to worry about going swimming. You may also want to experiment with some more vibrant colours and some bold lipstick is a good starting point.

Though there might be some other products that you want to bring along with you, hopefully this has given you a good overview of the type of things that you want to be packing for your summer holiday so you can enjoy it in style!
